What you can expect

Dive into Malacca City's vibrant past as you make your way around town with an experienced local guide. Snap photos of historic churches and hilltop vantage points, visit centuries-old forts, and enjoy a tasty lunch featuring classic Pernakan cuisine before swinging by the stalls of a nearby market.

Get picked up from your hotel in Kualu Lumpur and enjoy the winding ride south towards the coast and Malacca. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008, this stretch of Malaysia is the ideal place to explore one of the country's most diverse cultures. Start your tour atop St. Paul's Hill, where you can get a lay of the land and bird's-eye views of the Straight of Malacca and the town square.

Continue on to Porta de Santiago, whose weather-worn stones have stood since the 15th century and seen control by Dutch, British, and Portuguese forces. Nearby, explore St. Peter's Church, learn about the confluence of East and West with a visit to a Portuguese-Malay community, and then break for a delicious lunch of spicy Perakan cuisine, also known as Nyonya food.

After lunch, check out the elaborate architectural features at Cheng Hoong Teng temple and find out how it services practicitioners of Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism under one roof. At Jonker Street, look for antiques, handicrafts, colourful clothing, and other trinkets that make perfect souvenirs before you hop back in your shuttle and return to Kuala Lumpur.

Very informative tour guide. Seen lots and enjoyed the walk through the streets. The driver is touch and go on the accelerator so needed a massage today from a sore neck. Left a sour taste in my mouth when he was not impressed the doctor didn’t tip.

The guide was not very nice. But overall is ok. If you go with another guide it might be better

The tour was well organized and the guide was froendly and well-aware of the history and traditions. But the journey isn’t probably the top choice if you are visiting Malaysia for a short time. It’s short and not so unique. If you got time. go for it. Otherwise don’t waste a day to see “ordinary” things when you could’ve enjoyed an extra day at Genting or KL or Langkawi. (Ok for groups. Not for honeymooners)

The driver was pleasant. There were lots of opportunities for photos and shopping. The food was ok. The commute was long and the traffic on return was super heavy.

The tour guide was really good but Malacca itself must be one of the most boring places I've ever been.

Pick up was on time, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered any questions he had, stayed at a good pace keeping the group together and ensured everyone had a great time. The food provided was very good, better then most tours that include food. Would highly recommend.

When evaluating this tour one needs to take into account two things. First, Melaka is a historical place and it is almost necessary to see it. Second, there isn’t much left there. With this in mind, the tour is decent. The lunch was good.

Tour was just ok. Our guide was nice but slept all the way. Our view of the Indian Ocean was disappointing as there is not really an ocean more of a river. Lunch was good. The tour old China town was very dirty and a long walk on a hot day. The 3 places of worship on Harmony St were very old and the Buddhist temple was nice. We did the steps to the fort but those who did were disappointed. There is poor upkeep. The red house area and clock tower are well preserved but a very commercial. Bus was ok good driver.
