This beautiful 6 km hiking trail takes place in the cute little village of Murren. During our hike, we will have the most impressive views from the Lauterbrunnen valley, and from the famous mountain trio of Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau.
We will meet in Lauterbrunnen at 0900 and take a 5 minute gondola to Grutschalp. Once we reach the station, we will make our way to Murren, hiking for about 1.5 hours. We will walk through Murren’s tiny little centre, enjoying the most incredible mountain views and cute wooden chalets. We will continue our way down to Gimmelwald, a traditional farming village with around 100 inhabitants, characterised by chalets decorated with flowers in front of the four-thousand-metre-high Jungfrau mountain massif. In Gimmelwald we will enjoy a picnic with swiss delicacies like cheese, bread, meats, chocolate, etc with one of the best views of the region away from the crowds. After our pic nic break we will take the gondola down to Stechelberg and bus back to Lauterbrunnen.
The tour will be planned according to fitness levels and weather forecast, so the itinerary will be adjusted if necessary. The length of this hike is 6 km approximately. Good physical condition is required.
Transport is not included in the price (20 ch per person in total)
About your guide:
Hiking and trail running are my favourite ways to explore and connect with this beautiful region. Passionate about the outdoors and sports, I got trapped in this beautiful place two years ago, and I have explored the region thoroughly. I love interacting and sharing experiences with people from all over the world, and I very much enjoy taking people to the most special places in the region, and helping them plan their days in the Jungfrau region.
