Snellings Beach is the most visible and most popular on the north coast. The North Coast Road runs right past the western end of the beach, providing parking and beach access, while a lookout on the road provides an excellent view of the entire beach.
Western River Cove

Western River Cove is one of the nicer beaches on the entire island, and well worth the winding drive out to the coast. The 200 m wide, north facing cove is accessible by car, with a car park and picnic area located behind the beach. A foot bridge crosses the creek to the backing dunes and a track runs along the western rocks to the point. The cove contains two beaches. The main beach is a 160 m long, north facing sand beach, backed by dunes extending 150 m inland over the valley flats. The small river flows down the eastern side of the beach, while the beach itself is moderately steep, with a narrow continuous bar.

Dudley Wines reflect the personality of the Island and the winemaker, fifth generation Islander, Brodie Howard. False Cape Cellar Door offers premium wines and is situated in an idyllic setting, nestled amongst the vineyard and gum trees on the picturesque Willson River, surrounded by native vegetation and only 12 km from Penneshaw and the ferry.
The Kangaroo Island vineyard was established by Julie and Jamie Helyar in 1999 with North Facing Slopes, Terra Rosa soils over Limestone, cool climate along with sustainable practices creating the ideal conditions for producing great quality grapes and wine.
