The Divjaka - Karavasta national park is characterised by its forest of indigenous flowers. The presence of many natural habitats and the biodiversity of flora and fauna are its most notable features. These habitats provide refuge for many waterfowls, which are extremely rare in Albania. The Karavasta lagoon is home to the Dalmatian Pelican.
