Overview

The Divjaka - Karavasta national park is characterised by its forest of indigenous flowers. Karavasta Lagoon is the largest lagoon in Albania and one of the largest in the Mediterranean Sea. Walk through the natural park and see its rich biodiversity in flora and fauna. Take a boat trip through the canals of the lagoon to experience its beauty from inside, see the birds and the famous dalmatian Pelican.

The park consists of the Lagoon of Karavasta. The lagoon hosts 6,4 % of the Dalmatian Pelicans of Europe’s population. The tour starts on the sandy off-road at the National park of Divjake, from the pine forest to the sandy beach. Get picked up from your hotel in Tirana at 8:30 am ready for the tour to begin at 9:00 am. Travel to Karavasta Lagoon, the largest offshore wetland in Albania, approximately one hour away. At the lagoon, stroll around and enjoy scenic views of pine trees, small islands, and the long sandy bar which separates Karavasta from the Adriatic Sea.
