This journey begins at 8:00am from Lixouri depending on your convenience.
We welcome you onboard with a nice Greek breakfast consisting of boiled eggs, fresh tomatoes and cucumber, Kefalonian feta cheese, local pickled olives and olive oil, freshly baked bread and sesame bread rings, coffee or tea and orange juice.
While you enjoy that, we sail towards our fishing nets, which have been put in the sea the night before.
Pulling the net out lasts about 30 minutes. The net is one kilometre long. It’s very fine, also called spider net, specially made to cach shrimps.
You get to watch the whole procedure and if you wish to, you can help too!
As soon as the net gets on board, we will go near the fishfarm cages and look for loggerhead sea turtles.
On this trip we visit and stop at White Rocks Beach, a secluded beach with no access by land, and the Island Vardiani.
Lunch is the catch of the day of course. Depending on the kind of fish in our nets we may have a fish soup or fried fish as an starter and the prawns with pasta as a main course all that served with Greek salad, fresh bread, soft drinks and wine.
We return at 4:00 p.m. and enjoy some fresh fruit on our way back.
