Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Your Mahanda Africa Safaris guide will be available to pick you up from the airport or any other pickup point you may specify. For scheduled pickups, you will need to share your expected arrival time, and your guide will transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli by road

Today, after an early morning breakfast, your Mahanda Africa safari guide will pick you from your Nairobi hotel at 7 a.m and set off for Amboseli. You should arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch. After checking in at the lodge/camp, you can take some time to relax before your afternoon/evening game drive in the park for 2 hours. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can relax by the camp’s pool for the rest of the evening..

Day 3: Full day game drive in Amboseli

Today, after an early morning breakfast, you can look forward to a full day of game drives and other activities in Amboseli National Park. Aside from game drives, other activities you can do include a guided nature walk, a cultural tour or a hot air balloon safari. Day 4: Transfer to Tsavo West

Today after breakfast, you will depart for Tsavo West, arriving by mid-morning. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out from under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.

Your first game drive will happen as you arrive at the lodge. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will visit the Mzima springs where you may view the crocodiles and hippos swimming underwater. After lunch you will be driven to the remains of “shetani” lava flows. As you wind down the evening, you will enjoy the view of Chyulu Hills from the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Tsavo East

Today after an early breakfast, you and your guide will depart for Tsavo East and arrive before lunch at the lodge. After lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East National Park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. Your guide will lead you to the best areas to spot this prolific wildlife. Look out for key attractions like the Mudanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Crocodile Point, Aruba Dam, and the Kanderi swamp. Optional activities include camel ride safari, walking tour, and balloon safari. Speak to your Mahanda Africa Safaris if you are interested in any of the optional activities.

Day 6: Transfer to Diani/Malindi/Mombasa

Today, after an early morning breakfast, you will head out for a final morning game drive before checking out for your lodge ready for departure. You will arrive at Mombasa by mid-morning and be dropped off at Moi International Airport (or your chosen drop off point) marking the end of your safari.
