Take a break from the bustling city of Bangkok and spend a day in nature, exploring one of Thailand’s largest national parks. Hike along nature trails and come face to face with the park’s majestic waterfalls – Haew Suwat – for an adventure-filled day surrounded by Mother Nature.

Starting with an early call time, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation before beginning the 3-hour journey northeast.

At Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll traverse one of the many nature trails, admiring the local flora and fauna. As it is one of the oldest national parks in the country, you’ll find all kinds of animals – from mammals and reptiles to birds and insects – in the area. If we’re really lucky, we may just spot a herd of elephants nearby.

After lunch, we head to the KM 33 - Nong Pak Chi Trail. This scenic nature trail showcases diverse forest types, including mature dry forest, secondary forest, and grasslands. Tall banyan and java plum trees offer shade and attract wildlife, creating a natural “restaurant for wildlife.” Visitors may encounter signs of elephants and gaur, spot hornbills nesting, or gibbons swinging through the canopy. The trail ends at Nong Phak Chi Observation Tower, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

We’ll trek to Haew Suwat Waterfall, one of the park’s most picturesque bodies of water. We’ll marvel at the cool cascades, snap photos of the lush scenery, and take a quick respite before heading back to Bangkok. (Please note that swimming and swimming are strictly prohibited at any of Khao Yai National Park's waterfalls, including Haew Suwat Waterfall.)
