Kuwohi is a sacred place for the Cherokee people and is the highest point within the traditional Cherokee homeland. Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Pass by)
Drive through the lush forest of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on our way to Kuwohi Mountain. Roadside waterfalls flowing from the mountains, and a beautiful rocky river follow along the side of the road allow many opportunities to take pictures along the way. It is also possible to see Elk, deer, and wild turkeys.
Oconaluftee Visitor Center
