Know before you book

  • Guests are required to wear warm winter gear. We suggest a winter jacket, snow pants, gloves, winter footwear and warm socks, and a toque or balaclava. In addition, snow goggles are great for sun glare and windier days. Our Rental Shop can fit you with a winter jacket and pants (optional).
  • A light backpack is also a good idea to carry your camera, water and snacks.
  • 10am, 12pm and 2pm tours are approximately 2 hours in duration.
  • "Full Day" tours are approximately 6 hours in duration
  • All tours include showshoe rentals.

What you can expect

Enjoy breathtaking views while taking your first steps in snowshoes. Our Scenic Snowshoe Tour includes a free ride on the scenic Grizzly Gondola to the top of Whitehorn Mountain to experience a view usually only accessible to skiers and snowboarders. Choose from 3 different departure times to suit your schedule.

Snowshoe with your Certified Interpretive Guide at the top of the mountain, including a break at the Eagle Cabin viewpoint for hot chocolate and a snack.

Your Guide will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of our history, the landscape, and the wildlife of Lake Louise. This tour is suitable for all abilities and experience levels.

Tours depart daily at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm from Dec 11'23 - May 5'24

Please arrive for your tour at least 30 minutes before the departure time to allow time for pre-tour preparation
