Here you can see how impressive stage sets and numerous costumes are created in the various workshops, where assembles, painted, tailored, welded, planned and rehearsed. So many professionals work together on one product in hardly any place; Craftsmen, artists and administrative employees who make their share in a large stage history.

What you can expect

  • Das Staatstheater Darmstadt ist ein Mehrspartenhaus mit Oper-, Tanz- und Schauspielproduktionen. Die Führung ermöglicht spannende Einblicke hinter die Kulissen des großen Hauses.

    Hier ist zu sehen, wie in den verschiedenen Werkstätten beeindruckende Bühnenbilder und zahlreiche Kostüme entstehen, wo montiert, gemalt, geschneidert, geschweißt, geplant und geprobt wird. An kaum einem Ort arbeiten so viele Berufszweige gemeinsam an einem Produkt; Handwerkerinnen, Künstlerinnen wie Verwaltungsangestellte, die ihren Anteil an einer großen Bühnengeschichte leisten.

    Im Rahmen des Theaterbetriebes ist die große Bühne nur nach Verfügbarkeit zu besichtigen!
