What you can expect

A trip to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Lightkeepers’ Museum will reveal the fascinating maritime history of the Cape region. Easier than most lighthouses to climb, this lighthouse tower is accessible even for small children and is one of the most popular attractions in the Margaret River Region.

30-minute guided tours provide a fascinating insight into the functions of the working lighthouse and the history of the local area.

From the top balcony, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, Cape Naturaliste, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, and the beautiful Geographe Bay coastline.

Housed within one of the original lightkeepers' cottages, the Lightkeepers’ Museum is an immersive experience sharing the captivating stories of maritime history, shipwrecks, and the dedicated individuals who have protected our coastline since 1904.

The new observation platform at the base of the lighthouse tower also provides sweeping views of the ocean and Geographe Bay, making it ideal for snapping scenic photos.
