Matty the tour guide was excellent and went out of his way to make the tour extremely interesting and informative. The whole trip was fantastic. My only complaint is that we ordered lunch at Puffing Billy cafe and it took over 25 mins to arrive so we had only a few minutes to eat lunch before the tour left for the next stop so maybe a mention to others either order a takeaway or take your own packed lunch as there are lovely picnic spots.

What an incredible day! Our tour with Peter, the fabulous guide, was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and indulgence. We started with the magical Puffing Billy steam train ride through the stunning Dandenong Ranges – made even better by Peter’s fun stories and deep knowledge. At Healesville Sanctuary, we got up close with iconic Aussie wildlife like kangaroos, koalas, and a platypus, with Peter making sure we caught every highlight. We ended the day at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, sampling delicious handmade chocolates and enjoying the beautiful views. Peter’s energy, organization, and genuine passion turned a great tour into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

The ride was comfortable, and the schedule was well-paced—not too tight, which made the day enjoyable. Puffing Billy was definitely a highlight and such a memorable experience! However, it would be helpful to let passengers know in advance about the soot from the train, especially we are sitting by the edge (the whole point of Puffing Billy), the soot is literally all over the face, shirt and jeans. You can give it a pat and it will come off, but if possible, I would suggest everyone to wear long sleeves and long pants, so your skin won't be irritated. I also wish we had a bit more time to explore at the wildlife park, as I quite enjoyed the keepers talk and the bird show (which I couldn't attend the full session as I also need time to explore the park). Overall, it was a great tour with smooth logistics and beautiful scenery. Thank you!

Overall a very good day . Puffing Billy was a very enjoyable experience and the Healesville Sanctuary was interesting though possibly too long and a number of the animals could not be sighted at that time of the day. Also ,the bird show which was highly recommended by our tour guide ,was cancelled about 10 minutes before it was due to start without any explanation.

Paid so much and my family had to take the last back seat which was uncomfortable, the last row seats is abit different from the usual seat, it was also at a lower platform so our view was obstructed and there was NO HEAD REST! there was a trash right beside my seat (afterwhich i informed the tour guide and he removed it after reaching our 1st destination but still it was eww) I've paid so much for a family of 4 and this was not worth it at all! The entire tour was a rush! No time to even run to the toilet before the journey begins. At our 2nd stop to Healesville Sactuary, our tour guide advice us to attend the bird show which we did at it ended at 3.30pm, so ofcause it took some time for us to walked out with young kids and to go to toilet before departing, but our tour guide was not happy we were 5mins late and sarcastically made a remark in the bus. This is clearly NOT a tour if you want to go with kids then. The visit to Yarra Valley chocolate factory was a waste of time!!
