Begin your cruise by boarding a large, modern catamaran at Milford Wharf. From there, ride the calm waters of Milford Sound and travel down the south side of the fjord towards the Tasman Sea. Stop at waterfalls that cascade from the rainforest rockery and step into their spray if you're feeling brave.

Along the way, keep your camera close by as you look out for New Zealand's seals relaxing on the rocks. If you're lucky, spot dolphins and penguins swimming nearby. As your cruise moves out to the head of the fiord, see towering mountains, hanging valleys, and ancient alpine forests.
