Where you are standing right now is the very spot where Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat because of the colour of her skin. She was not the first, nor the last to be arrested. But her actions sparked the civil rights movement and brought national attention to Martin Luther King Jr. Here you will hear the storey of what happened that day. Our tour starts here. We will only be outside. If you want to go inside you can pause the tour and buy a ticket. This is an outdoor walking tour.
United States Post Office and Courthouse—Montgomery (Pass by)
We will stop by the courthouse and hear about Judge Johnson who ruled in favour of Rosa Parks and changed history.
