Had a great experience using Viator and Mubus for this booking. The tour guides contacted us very well in advance. Gave a detailed information on the significance and importance of The Great Wall of China. The country side lunch was also good. Enjoyed the e2e experience from booking to visit and departure Special thanks to Mike and Helly one of the best tour guides.

Michael and John were great guides. I was told some informative information about the Great Wall before arriving. The group had been given enough time to climb both the western and eastern side of the Mutianyu wall. I opted for lunch which was a great option as it included a local and western buffet. The tickets included entry to the wall, tickets for the cable car/toboggan were seperate and were not inclusive. I was able to purchase souvenirs from the official mubus shop near the wall. Overall great and memorable experience.

Once I got to the company meeting point my guide, called Taka, took me aside and told me that I must pay 150 CNY for a taxi to get to the trail entrance. I didn’t realize at the time that this was a scam. And I was so excited to be at the Great Wall that I didn’t think of checking it with the manager, I just wanted to hike to the Wall. I finally realize it was a scam when I talked to my hiking partner, she didn’t pay extra for the taxi as I did. Despite that, Taka was a good guide and I really like the experience. But I just don’t like to be treated as a fool. I would definetely recommend the experience, just be aware of the scams.
