Overview

Skydiving in Mossel Bay is an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime! Not only will you enjoy all of the thrill and excitement of freefalling, but you’ll also be taking an exhilarating scenic flight over the Mossel Bay with an eagle-eye view of the Indian Ocean, the Outeniqua Mountains & the beauty between Cape Town & Port Elizabeth!

As you exit the aircraft, most of our guests say their fears stay in the plane! The Master will be your sleeping partner, letting you have full control or you can just lay back & enjoy the ride. Jumping from up to 10000 ft., we’ll free fall at around 200 km/h for up to 35-50 seconds.

All too quickly you will find the parachute opening and your adrenaline-charged free-fall transitions into a quiet peaceful parachute descent, you and the instructor can talk and share the moment with you. It takes approx.5 mins to reach the ground while both a gentle ride or a roller coaster experience is possible (based on your preference).

Activity itinerary

Plan to allocate about two and a half hours. Once you have completed the administration, the instructor will give you a short briefing about some of the safety rules, what to expect in the aeroplane, how to hold your body during free-fall and what to expect when the parachute opens. Your flight to 10,000 feet is about 20 minutes in Cessna 182 or about 8 minutes in the super fast King Air. You’ll freefall for up to 50 seconds and the parachute ride is about 5-7 minutes. It's fast and fun. You will enjoy the the force of the wind rushing against you as you fall sounds loud and feels like nothing you’ve experienced before. It feels more like flying than falling. Your clothes will be flapping around you, your skin will be quivering and you’ll probably pull some funny faces. It’s similar to sticking your head out of the car when you’re driving fast. You can scream, laugh or sing. Once the parachute has opened, you’ll be able to have a conversation with the instructor and have a good look around at the beautiful Mossel Bay area.
