What you can expect

We will take you through the gorgeous city of Muscat where we will first visit the grand mosque is one of the biggest 1-piece handmade Iranian carpet in the world and can comfortably accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers, open (8am to 11am) except Friday.

Then drive you around the ministries and the Royal Opera House area which is leading arts, and culture organisation in the Oman. The vision of the Opera House is to serve as a centre of excellence in global cultural engagement. Then visit Qurum Beach Photo Stop and we will take you to have a taste the Omani bread with honey and karak tea.

Muttrah Souq is next, where you can find various souvenirs and Muttrah Souq one of the oldest marketplaces in Oman, after we will show you the Al Alam palace, the official palace of his majesty.

Saw most of what we expected to see but were disappointed our guide simply dropped us off at most sights, ie Grand Mosque and Opera House and left us to find our own way round. More a taxi trip than a guided tour!

Our guide, Nisbra is what made the Oman trip for us. He is knowledgeable, patient and even temperament at all times. Nisbra always told us to take our time and when to watch our steps. When we asked, Nisbra would go above and beyond and he is honest when he didnt know. We appreciated that Oman Golden tours offered pick up service for the tour. The most important factor is that our Omani tour was done with an Omani. The experience felt authentic. Oman Golden Tours kept in consistent contact telling us when our ride is arriving and communicated well with us. We were truly happy with the tour, services and communication from Oman Golden Tour. Poor, bad car, guide not punctual so several long wait times, very little explanations. In the end it was an expensive taxi bringing us to some sites
