Kegon Falls

Surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of Nikko National Park, Kegon Falls is the most famous of Nikko's waterfalls. Its water flows from Lake Chuzenji, the country's highest natural lake, and cascades in a 97-meter drop into a rocky plunge pool surrounded by greenery.

Lake Chuzenji

Lake Chuzenji is Japan's highest elevation natural lake, located just west of Nikko. The area's altitude and stunning scenery draw visitors looking to escape the humid Japanese summers. It's also popular in the fall for its incredible autumn leaves. The area is a part of Nikko National Park .

Nikko Tosho-gu

Nikko Toshogu Shrine enshrines the most famous samurai leader Tokugawa Ieyasu. Its carved and brilliantly decorated structures are part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko UNESCO World Heritage site and the highlight of any visit to Tochigi.

Shinkyo Bridge

Shinkyo is 28 metres long, 7.4 metres wide, and located 10.6 metres above the river. Ten main pillars are built on the rail, and top of each pillar is decorated. Opposite side of the bridge girder is black lacquered, while whole other parts are vermilion lacquered.

Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park

Tamozawa Imperial Villa is a former imperial summer residence in Nikkō, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It was constructed for Emperor Taishō in 1899 and served as a hide-out for emperor Hirohito during the World War II. The former imperial residence is now open for the public as museum and garden.
