We meet you at the Crooked Lane Brewery in Auburn, California in the morning. Your guides will be there to greet you and you will have some time to say hello, use the bathroom and get river ready before we load up into our shuttle and head to the river!
The shuttle is about 40 minutes into the sierra foothills of Colfax, where we then drop into the North Fork American River canyon. We arrive at put in and get the rest of our gear on and rafts into the water. There will be a detailed safety and pre trip instruction talk prior to getting onto the river.
The actions starts right after we launch with back to back Class IV and IV+ rapids, including Slaughter Sluice, Chamberlain Falls, Bous Thunder and more!
We stop for a riverside lunch after the main action and enjoy this beautiful and special place. The North Fork River is clear, green and freshly flows from the snowpack. The afternoon rafting is mellower with several fun Class II and III waves until the take out where our shuttle will meet us again. We load up the boats and gear and head back to the brewery in Auburn for a cold drink and fond farewells.
