Blackness Castle, featured as Fort William in the Outlander series, is our next stop. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a brief history of the castle along with an Outlander demonstration. Afterwards, you'll have time to explore the rest of the castle at your own pace, soaking in its rich history and cinematic significance.
Midhope Castle
  • 30m

Midhope Castle, famously known as Lallybroch from Outlander, is a must-visit for any fan of the show. We’ll arrange a scenic "walk down" to the castle, giving you the opportunity to take in the beautiful surroundings and other Outlander points of interest nearby. Please note that Midhope Castle is located on a private working estate, and access may occasionally be restricted due to safety concerns or estate activities beyond our control. Additionally, in respect to local residents, the estate has restricted access to the castle between December and April 2025. While we regret any inconvenience, the tour will continue as planned with visits to other fantastic locations. Thank you for your understanding!
Falkland Community Hall
  • 1h
We’ll visit the charming village of Falkland, famously portrayed as Inverness in Outlander. During our stop, we usually enjoy lunch and take time to explore the scenic Village Square and its quaint shops. While we don’t include a visit to Falkland Palace in the tour, those who wish to can explore it during the lunch break and rejoin the group afterwards.
Doune Castle
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket included
Doune Castle, known as Castle Leoch in Outlander—the home of Clan MacKenzie's Colum and Dougal—will be one of our stops. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a brief historical overview of the castle’s rich past and its role in the show. Afterwards, you’ll have the freedom to explore the castle at your own pace, using the included audio guides for a deeper insight into this iconic location.
Royal Burgh of Culross
  • 30m
Culross, prominently featured in three seasons of Outlander, is most recognised as the village of Cranesmuir, home to the infamous Geillis Duncan. As our final stop, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the beautifully preserved 17th-century streets, where the timeless atmosphere transports you back to the show’s setting. We’ll make our way to the historic Mercat Cross, a central point in the village, offering a glimpse into Scotland’s past and the charm of this iconic location.
