Overview

The waterfall of the Tigre River, is a beautiful natural scenery, which is located in Oxapampa – Pasco.

It is part of the tourist attractions of the hamlet “La Cañera” 18 km from Oxapampa. It is located within the territory of the Oxapampa-Asháninka-Yánesha Biosphere Reserve.
It has a water fall of 29 m. approx. and can be appreciated from the height, from its base and from the hanging bridge that the Municipality has placed in the area.

We will depart towards the RÍO TIGRE WATERFALL, along the way we will observe the MIRAFLORES area adorned with its beautiful typical Austro-German houses.

After a few minutes, we will arrive at the EL ABRA crossroads where a small monument stands in tribute to the Yánesha culture and the biodiversity of the area. From that place you can see the city of Oxapampa.

We will arrive at the “La Cañera” Sector, where we leave the vehicle for a few minutes to undertake a short walk of approximately 15 minutes along a beautiful path;

We will cross a suspension bridge and then enjoy beautiful livestock and grassland landscapes.
