What you can expect

Pietrapertosa is a little town perched on the breathtaking slopes in the heart of the “Dolomiti Lucane” mountains. It is located at 1088m above the sea level, thus making Pietrapertosa the highest town in Italy. Admire the ruins of Norman fortifications located at the highest point of the city. Explore the “Arabata” - a whole neighbourhood that testifies the presence of the Arab community who had lived here for over 50 years - located at the base of the fortification. Learn the history and some interesting facts about the town that has become famous also for the “Volo dell’Angelo” (Flight of the Angel), which allows you to literally fly in the air secured by a steel cable.
