Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, the glacier slowly but steadily crawls forward, giving your experienced glacier guide a new challenge every day! His aim is to get you away from the crowd, finding nooks and corners to explore on your own; walking between deep crevasses, amazing ice formations, jagged ridges and spine-tingling sinkholes!

You start your trip with a nice short walk up to Sólheimajökull. It's a magnificent feeling viewing the glacier from afar and imagining your selves being up there in just a short while!

The guide then gives a short but very important demonstration on how to properly use the glacier equipment. When you are ready, you head up the icy but easily accessible slopes on to your adventure, taking in the amazing surroundings on your way.
