Plaza Zabala

Walking (optional) Zabala Square, named after the founder of Montevideo, features gardens designed by French landscape architect Édouard André. The gardens are enclosed by iron fences and gates. The Square is surrounded by Ring Durango Street, named for the district of town where Zabala was born. On the south side of the square is the Taranco Palace, home to the Museum of Decorative Arts.

Fortaleza del Cerro
