The Kaon-tei (KIMONO shop), constructed just after the end of World War II (78 years old), is one of the oldest Japanese houses in the heart of Toyama City. Inside the shop, you can experience a time-traveling Japan while having a KIMONO fitting.

Along the Itachi River, scattered along its banks, are Jizo statues dating back 250 years, erected in prayers for the recovery from the epidemic caused by a major earthquake. Some of these statues are accompanied by wells springing with water from the melting snow of the Tateyama Mountain Range. The riverside is a promenade, meticulously maintained by local residents. Within walking distance from the city centre, it's a spot where you can stroll in a kimono, experiencing both the natural beauty and the rhythm of everyday life. If you're lucky, you might even get to take a walk with our mascot dog, Shiba Inu!
