Leave the usual tourist routes behind for 2 days spent getting to know the scenery and people in the countryside around Hue that most visitors don't get to see. Your guide shows you the unique sides of local culture and some incredible views as you hike through the forest.

Day 1: Ap Bia Mountain & A Roang Village Set out from your hotel in the morning for a ride through the leafy countryside into the A Luoi district. Learn about the Ko Tu and Ta Oi people who live in the area, and then make a stop in the community of A Luoi before you reach the mountain of Ap Bia, site of an infamous Vietnam War battle that earned it the moniker “Hamburger Hill.”

From here, your guide leads you on a trek into the forest, where you visit an old wartime airfield that's now being reclaimed by nature. Grab lunch at a local restaurant and take some time to look around town and get to know the daily local life. After a stop at the village of A Shau, the site of several Vietnam War battles, you head to A Roang and check in at the stilt house where you'll spend the night. Finish the day by relaxing in a hot spring and get dinner with some local specialities and a traditional music show.

Day 2: A Roang Forest & Return to Hue After breakfast and some free time to check out the town, your guide leads you into the woods for a hike that lets you explore the diversity of natural life in the area. Head back to town for lunch at a local restaurant before you depart for the ride back to Hue.
