When you arrive at the Marble Mountains, admire the collection of rocky bluffs, each named for one of the 5 traditional elements of the universe, as you head to the practice slope, collect your gear, and learn the basics of rappelling. Once you've got a handle on your harness, knot tying, and proper technique, then it's time to hit the slopes.

The first rappelling course is just a short walk from the practice area, where you get a fantastic view out over the sea. The 72-foot (22-m) line offers great exposure and fantastic scenery, making you feel like you're much higher up above it all. The second course takes you down a 49-foot (15-m) drop into a mountain cave that was once used as a hideout for the Viet Cong.
