Overview

My name is Owen and I am a qualified tour guide. I have lived in Ireland for my whole life and am proud to say that I have a deep local knowledge and engaging storytelling.

My personalised approach ensures an unforgettable experience, providing insightful context about Wicklow's stunning landscapes and rich heritage.

My Private tour is luxury and bespoke.

Guests are chauffeured to Glendalough Monastic Site and Kilkenny Castle in my beautiful Jaguar limousine.

Discover Glendalough’s serene beauty, nestled in the Wicklow Mountains, and explore its historic monastic site, scenic lakes, and lush valleys. Then, travel to Kilkenny, where you’ll visit the iconic Kilkenny Castle, a magnificent landmark steeped in history and surrounded by stunning parklands.

After spending a great day together our guests will be chauffeured to their hotel. We will have only spent a short time together but I hope they will have enjoyed that time and have some wonderful memories that last a lifetime.

Located in Kilkenny, the Medieval Capital of Ireland, this castle is a historic landmark with origins dating back to the 12th century. Originally built by the Anglo-Norman family, the Butlers of Ormond acquired the castle in 1391 and owned it for nearly 600 years. The castle underwent significant architectural transformations, evolving from a medieval fortress into a Victorian-style residence. Set amidst extensive parklands, it features a grand library, drawing rooms, and an art gallery showcasing notable works. In 1967, the Butlers sold the castle to the state, and it has since been restored and opened to the public, serving as a key cultural and tourist attraction.
