The parish was initially built in 1555, but due to its deterioration, it was rebuilt in 1709. The current facade, in the Neo-Gothic style, was designed by Zeferino Gutiérrez in 1880 and was inspired by European cathedrals, particularly the one in Cologne, Germany. Inside the parish, inside there are oil paintings by artists such as Juan Rodríguez Juárez.
