Activity itinerary

Ban Josip Jelacic Monument
  • 10m
„It was the year 903, when trouble befell our Croatia. Hedervary raised the Hungarian flags, trying to forcefully Hungarianize our Croatia. Rise, oh Ban, Croatia calls you, calls you. Rise, Ban Jelačić! There isn’t a hero, there isn’t a Croat, like Jelačić the Ban was. But now the black earth hides him, and green grass has covered his grave“ – the lyrics of the well-known patriotic song in honour of today’s most famous inhabitant depicted on the central square in Zagreb, Ban Jelačić Square.
Tkalciceva Street (Pass by)
At the turn of the 20th century Tkalčićeva Street was the main centre for brothels. At one stage every other building was a bordello. Today the street is one of the most popular Zagreb attractions full of cafes and bars.
Porta di Pietra (Kamenita Vrata)
  • 5m
Before you head to this mountain north of Zagreb, visit Kamenita vrata (‘the Stone gate’), on Grič, another name for Gradec. This formed a part of the defensive fortifications of the historic village, and in its passage is the Chapel of Our Lady of the Stone Gate, the patron saint of the city.
St. Mark's Square
  • 10m
St Mark’s Square constitutes the heart of the Upper Town, having formerly served as the main market square of the settlement of Gradec. Dominating the square is the 13th-century Church of St Mark, a three-isled Romanesque church which still retains much of its original shape.
Lotrscak Tower (Pass by)
Every day, for over hundred and ten years, the cannon fires from the top of tower Lotrščak exactly at noon in memory of an event from Zagreb history.
Funicular Railway
  • 10m
  • Admission ticket included
Zagreb Funicular is not only the shortest funicular in the world but also the oldest and first means of public transport in Zagreb.
Ilica (Pass by)
The longest and most famous street in Zagreb.
Dolac Market
  • 10m
Dolac market is Zagreb’s main open-air farmers’ market. The place locals buy their food. Full of life and colour. A must see and experience when you are visiting Zagreb!
Statue of Petrica Kerempuh
  • 5m
The Statue of Petrica Kerempuh holding a mandolin standing among his countryman is located on Petrica Kerempuh Square on the upper part of Dolac Market.
Cathedral of Zagreb
  • 10m
Zagreb Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Zagreb landmark. As a matter of fact, it is the most monumental sacral building in Neo-Gothic style southeast of the Alps.
Wine Bar Bornstein
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Come and let our passionate and knowledgeable staff take you on a journey through one of our (native to Croatia) wine tastings, while enjoying the ambiance of our 200 y.o. vaulted cellar.
