Once you arrive at the handicraft workshop, first, a professional instructor will elaborate in detail on the historical origin of Luodian craftsmanship. Tracing back from its inception in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, through its development in the Tang and Five Dynasties, reaching its zenith in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and finally to its inheritance and innovation in the present day, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the development context of this ancient craftsmanship. Subsequently, the instructor will introduce the tools and materials essential for Luodian production, such as Luodian slices, glue, tweezers, scissors, sandpaper, etc., and showcase different types of Luodian works to spark your creative inspiration.

Following that, under the guidance of the instructor, embark on your Luodian handicraft creation journey. You can first design a simple pattern according to your preferences, such as flowers, animals, or geometric figures, and sketch it on paper. Then, use tools to cut the base material into the appropriate shape and size. Next, use tweezers to pick up the Luodian slices and carefully paste them onto the base according to the designed pattern. This process demands great patience and care to ensure that the Luodian slices are neatly arranged and fit snugly. After the glue dries, gently sand the surface of the Luodian to make it smoother, and finally, you can also apply transparent paint or other finishing materials as required to protect the work and enhance its lustre.
