What you can expect

Board a high-speed catamaran and cut through the waves as you cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Upon arrival at the renowned Agincourt Reef, you will land at a permanently moored and spacious platform where you can explore the clear outer reef waters teeming with marine life. Whether you prefer snorkelling and diving or staying dry in the semi-submarine and underwater observatory, the choice is yours.

Enjoy hassle-free pickup from your hotel and board the impressive Quicksilver catamaran at Port Douglas Marina. Admire the unforgettable scenic views over the coastline towards the Daintree Rainforest as you cruise to Agincourt Reef, located on the edge of Australia's Continental Shelf, and land at the moored activity platform in the middle of this turquoise paradise.

During the next 3.5 hours, experience a wide range of activities suited to both swimmers and non-swimmers. Take the plunge into the waters and snorkel with tropical fish, or dive deeper with all equipment provided (first-time divers are welcome for this option). Stay dry and take as many trips as you like in the semi-submersible vessel for a diver's view of the reef. From the underwater observatory, be mesmerised as tropical fish go about their day in this amazing underwater world.

Learn more with a marine biologist-guided snorkel tour or take the plunge with Ocean Walker—helmet-diving suitable for all levels of swimming ability—or even take to the sky for a scenic helicopter flight and a whole new perspective of the reef (optional activities at an additional cost).

After a sunny cruise back to the port, your hotel shuttle will be waiting to take you back after an incredible day. If you're joining the cruise from Cairns, you'll see one of the most spectacular scenic coastlines in Australia by a luxury coach with commentary.

Amazing! The crew was very professional and attentive. As the tour was less than half full, this did not take away from the experience. Enjoyed our time immensely out on the Great Barrier Reef!!

The snorkel was inadequate, should have brought my own, one size fits all, not adequate for non swimmers, not enough staff for help, it’s one for all, that’s the way it is these days, not value for money, lunch was good, but not what we came here for, not enough seating inside vessel to listen to important information. We came from cairns so were last to get on the vessel, no choose of seating. Would not recommend this trip

This was my first time to the GBR and was very pleased with this experience. The boat is large so you do not feel motion sickness for the ~90min trip out to the reef. During the sailing the crew comes around and gives orientation for what activity you have selected ( scuba, snorkeling, submersible, go pro rentals). There is free coffee and biscuits on the way to the reef. The reef was so full of life (Fish, Coral) unbelievable -- so many fish than any other place I've snorkeled all over the world. The submersible was an unexpected treat - relaxing way to view the reef and very good place to take videos and pictures. I was able to lean my phone against the window to constantly video the tour. If you get a seat way up front, you have the best view and fish follow the bubbles. Lunch was good. The fish feeding was cool - would not miss that activity. Sail back was relaxing with tea and cheese being offered. I would rec this excursion.

If you don't snorkel or dive or use the helo you're restricted to the semi sub or the viewing deck if you want to get a view of the reef. Viewing deck is very disappointing I guess because snorkellers frighten off the fish. Sub is claustrophobic and hot because aircon only seems to cool narrow segment of hull. But sub does at least give good view of reef. Not value for money if you don't get wet
