What you can expect
In Nepal, the most popular white water adventure sport is a day trip for rafting on the Trishuli River from Kathmandu. The Trishuli River is a fantastic option for both beginner and expert rafters because of its moderate rapids and breathtaking natural surroundings. The primary appeal of this excursion is the rafting itself, but there are a few other interesting things to see as well, like little gorges and a view of the cable car that goes to the well-known Hindu Temple Manakamana.
Rafting offers an excellent chance to take in the breathtaking scenery, beautiful valleys, striking gorges, thrilling rapids, and easier stretches of the river.
Location describe
The Trishuli River in central Nepal originates from the Langtang Himal, descending through lush valleys and deep gorges of the Himalayas. Renowned for white-water rafting, it offers a mix of gentle stretches and thrilling rapids, ranging from Class I to IV.
The iconic Trishuli Gorge adds excitement, with its narrow channels and towering cliffs. Surrounding landscapes feature verdant forests, waterfalls, and charming villages, offering a glimpse into rural life and the natural beauty of Nepal.
Starting our Journey,
Embark on your adventure with a pick-up from your hotel and a journey towards Charaudi, the put-in point, in a private vehicle. After a scenic 3-hour drive, arrive at Charaudi, where friendly locals eagerly await to witness the rafting activities.
The sight of adventurers geared up for rafting never fails to fascinate the locals. The crew prepares the rafts, and everyone gathers for a safety briefing and paddling lessons before hitting the water. Encounter a series of Class I to Class III rapids, each rated on the international scale.
After roughly 2 hours on the river, arrive at a picturesque beach adorned with uniquely shaped boulders, perfect for a riverside lunch break. Enjoy a delicious outdoor meal while soaking in the natural beauty surrounding you, providing a well-deserved respite from paddling.
Continue downstream after lunch, navigating through the impressive Trishuli gorge characterised by narrow passages and steep walls, resulting in exhilarating rapids that are both fierce and frequent.
As the day draws to a close, embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu in the comfort of private transport, reminiscing about the thrilling rafting experience and the stunning landscapes encountered along the way.
