Our adventure starts at at the Riisitunturi National Park car park. If you don't need pick-up, you can meet your guide there. First, we have a short introduction to snowshoeing and then the adventure begins. In winter, the spruce trees that cover many of Riisitunturi National Park's hillsides are clad with a thick coating of condensed frost, creating a photogenic white forest.
Wander around with snowshoes, follow trails, and find your way through deep snow. By the campfire, enjoy a trail lunch and hear stories about Riisitunturi fell and the nature around you.
In January, the magical blue light surrounds you and you can admire the magical landscape in that special winter light. In February, start to get more sunlight and in March, experience spring winter time. Then you have long days, sun, snow, and even more snow.
