Overview

A combo trip you can't miss!

There is no better combo than soaking in the Roman ruins of Pula and then enjoying the beauty and charm of the medieval streets in Rovinj!
You can't skip these two when visiting Istria and although very different, each has its own past and personality.

Pula - the largest town in Istria with a long history, written all over its architectural remains and monuments.
Rovinj - the most photogenic town in Croatia, small but with a big soul, ready to romance you in its narrow streets.
These two share the Istrian lifestyle and a long turbulent history. Each needs to be explored at its own pace and I can't wait to introduce them to you!

After the tour, I guarantee you'll know how these cities were built from the ground up but also where to grab a traditional bite or refreshment without my help!

Gate of Hercules

Balbi Arch
  • 5m
Rovinj once had seven topwn gates and Balbi's arch is today the main one and one of the three preserved. Its rich decoration makes it one of the most photographed monuments in Rovinj and an unavoidable spot on the way to the oldest part of the town. Saint Marcus' lion watches over you from its top since Venetian times.
Fountain on Main Square (Pass by)
Fountain on Main Square which symbolises water available to everyone. THere's a small statue of a fisherman's boy holding a fish which symbolises maritime and fishing tradition of the town.
Ulica Grisia
  • 5m
The sreet of rovinj artists and artesan shops. Although there are numerous cobbke stone streets in Rovinj Old town, this one is the most popular and the first to be promoted since being an artists' colony in 1960s. Here you'll find art galleries, souvenir shops and handmades. Great spot to spend your free time.
