Was a perfect day to sail, the weather was great. The excursion was a mother's day gift from my son. Overall I enjoyed the activity, the views were great and the ship was fun. I've gone on sailing trips before so my expectations were based on these experiences. The description stated hands-on experiences, which made us select this trip over others. My son helped raise the sail, however the last two sails were dominated by the only child on the boat. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to deny a child an experience, but as a mom I understood that opportunities are limited on these types of events and taught my kids to share. When asked if anyone else wanted a turn, the mom said,he wants to go again as others waited. Same with steering. The captain hesitated to have the child the allow my son a turn, who isn't a young child. I also expected the captain to point out landmark as we sailed. The crew were very friendly and worked hard on the rigging. Just a bit disappointed.
