What you can expect

You will have the opportunity to discover both the local latino inspired dishes as well as the myriad of cultures that have made their imprint on the Mission today. You will enter a community that fosters stunning political street art, both on the main roads and weaving through the city areas.
All food, desserts, drinks and a professional tour of the city are included in the price.

In the Mission District immigrants made this section of San Francisco uniquely their own. Once home to Irish, German, and Italian Immigrants and now more recently named the epicentre of San Francisco's latino culture. The tour isn't just about eating. Connect the dots so you can truly begin to understand the Mission's thriving culinary scene. Connect with San Francisco's Mission District on a personal level - tasting and learning about the food that the local residents line up at and are happy to share.

We begin by taking you to the best taqueria for a Mission-style burrito.
Next, we bring the heart of Mexico to your table, serving a Quesabirria.
No stop to the Mission District would be complete without tasting traditional sweet bread. We source ours from a well-loved, 65-year-old bakery.
You'll enjoy mariquitas, a snack widely recognised as one of the best street foods in Cuba.
We will visit a small San Francisco-owned small-batch bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker for a sweet treat! (Hint: it's not Ghirardelli).
Here we will enjoy our delicious Secret Dish.

Guide shared a lot about the history of Mission district, there was some mural sightseeing. It was a small group so relatively fuss-free. Highlights of the Food tour was definitely the tacos, but we also had a burrito, soughdough, a pineapple pastry, and iced chocolate. Bring two stomachs!

Our guide Zachary was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He engaged with each of the tourists which, in our group, included a teenager, 3 middle-aged adults and 2 seniors.

Harrison's knowledge of the history of the mission district alongside her quirky humour entertained us throughout. Even some locals heard her description of the brick circle water tank and were fascinated! The food choices were excellent. The most fun we've had walking 10 000 steps! Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our tour with Mark who was extremely knowledgeable about the Mission area as well as all of San Francisco! The food offerings were excellent and we covered a large area which was wonderful as we love to walk and it was all flat!! Would recommend this tour to see a different section of the city!

Mark was an awesome guide! The food is to DIE for, honestly, and his deep knowledge of the neighborhood and history of San Francisco rounded everything out perfectly. It was a fantastic way to see one of SF’s coolest neighborhoods. Mark is awesome. 10/10.

Corey was a great guide who was very knowledgeable on the area, the history and the food. The tour was the perfect length and wasn’t too fast paced. It was excellent having the history of the area and the surrounding artworks interwoven with the food tastings! The group size was perfect as wasn’t too big but still plenty of time to chat with the other people on the tour too.
