What you can expect

After being picked up from your hotel, start your approximately 45-minute Almond Blossom Trail walk. The trail starts with an ascent through open farm land in a valley, where you'll pass many crops and grapevines. In the valley below, the meadows are filled with wild flowers. The almond trees are plentiful with either white or pink blossoms. Towards the end of the season, the petals carpet the valley floor like an ancient Roman mosaic.

Next, walk through the beautiful pine forest, part of the old camino, which was the old Guanche trail that the inhabitants used to use to move their livestock to different parts of the island. Further on, cross the lava fields, which are a remnant of the last eruption from the Chinyero Vent in December 1909.

Stop for a picnic lunch at approximately 12:30 PM with lovely views, as the fresh smell of the pine forest surrounds you. During the walk, you will see magnificent views of our spectacular Mount Teide, the highest mountain in all of Spain. On a clear day, you will have wonderful views down to the coast and the neighbouring islands of La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro.
