Ljubljana’s cemetery is called Žale and is full of surprises. We will see the Jewish Cemetery, The Memorial Park that was erected after the 2nd World War and some amazing statues by famous Slovenian sculptors. There is a little Italian Cemetery, German and Austrian memorials among others. Of course we visit architekt's Plečnik's grave which he designed completely himself, from the tombstone to plants. And you will be surprised by the choice of plants he made.
But first, the one and only, Garden of All Saints, spectacular architect Plečnik’s work, which is declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. You will be inspired by the architect's vision and how he made 14 different Chapels of Rest, each in its unique style with a grand entry in the form of Propylaea from Athens.
