What you can expect

Tivua Island: where warm waters, acres of coral gardens, and soft white beaches await. This day cruise afloat a magnificent tall ship, Ra Marama, combines sailing through crystal-clear seas to a Fijian island with buffet lunch spreads and plenty of activities too—just don’t forget your sun cream.

Head for Denarau Marina, board the historic beauty Ra Marama or Spirit of the Pacific or Sailing Cat Fiji One and set sail for Tivua Private Island. Enjoy your morning tea as the anchor is pulled up, and the captain steers you towards the open sea. Upon arrival on the island, receive a warm greeting and sip kava among the locals—all part of an ancient welcome ceremony.

From here, spend the day exactly how you please. Catch a ride over 500 acres of coral gardens, and peer down through your glass-bottomed boat at centuries of colourful reefs. Should a particular patch of anemones require a closer inspection, simply dive off the edge and snorkel in for a personal introduction.

For lunch, feast on a buffet spread of fresh fruit, local specialities, and refreshing drinks. Post-refuel, tackle some traditional Fijian crafts, canoe, play volleyball, or simply sprawl out on a hammock. Wind down with a cup of afternoon tea, before your evening sail back to the marina.

Transfers from the Coral Coast, Vuda, Lautoka, and Sonasali incur fees which can be paid upon check-in.

From 1 June 2025 itinerary will be refreshed to a multi stop experience. This will include a visit to the beautiful private beach of Kadavu Lailai in the Mamanucas.

A must-do Fijian Island experience on your own private tropical island beach and optional visit to Treasure Cay. Set sail for the spectacular Kadavu Lailai Private Beach in the Mamanucas. Enjoy the white sandy beach and acres of coral gardens, plus snorkel or dive from the magnificent marine diversity of Treasure Cay. Spend the day snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking or playing beach volleyball. Join a nature walk and/or reef tour with our resident Marine Biologist and take part in the ‘Build a Reef’ coral restoration programme. Enjoy a fresh tropical BBQ buffet lunch with an ice-cold beer, house wine and juices by the beach with authentic Fijian cultural entertainment with the dedicated crew.

Our Tivua Island All-Inclusive Day Cruise in January 2025 was a wonderful experience and the perfect introduction to the Fiji Islands. My wife and I, both in our 30s, loved the relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The island itself was stunning, with crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and plenty of opportunities for snorkeling and kayaking. The food and drinks were delicious and abundant, adding to the all-inclusive feel. A truly memorable day and highly recommended for anyone visiting Fiji!

We had a lovely time on this day cruise to Tivua Island. It's a beautiful island surrounded by beautiful turquoise waters. We enjoyed snorkeling, the glass boat ride, and swimming in the ocean. We had hoped to see even more marine life (while snorkeling) than we did, but we did see some and it was exciting and fun. The lunch buffet was okay, and had several items, but it could have been better in terms of quality/taste. The crew members were friendly and professional. Overall, it was a good experience.

The cruise started out great but ended badly. We were picked up late during a storm that came through. Instead of being picked up at the island at the time that written on the chalk board, we waited in the storm on the deck while it poured down raining only to having to run back to the cabanas to seek shelter from the rain. On top of that, I paid for my daughter and I to get a full body massage. The lady did not tell me that my daughter had already paid for her massage so it seemed as if she kept $100 for herself. Once we were on the boat, it started raining ever harder so they told us we can sit below deck and shelter from the cold rain. I was appreciative for this offer but I was rudely awakened by tons of roaches crawling on us. When we shined our lights, there were many roaches walking on the seats and restroom and floorboards. It left me feeling uncomfortable because I was thinking about where the food was stored and did any roach crawl on it. I get it, it’s an island boat cruise.

Such a great experience! The staff were so friendly and hospitable and treated my two young children with such kindness! The island was breathtaking - we spent the day lounging, swimming in the most beautiful aquamarine waters, and snorkeled. We saw plenty of clownfish and other amazing sea creatures. Probably the best experience we booked on Fiji. Although most of the other passengers were adult couples, it was perfect for our family of four as well.

This day cruise was fantastic! The crew were friendly and kept us well entertained on the cruise to the island. The scenery was beautiful and the island, idyllic. The glass bottom boat trip was very informative and we learnt so much about coral. Finally, the lunch was exceptional, with a huge range of delicious salads and delicious meat and fish. A first rate tour, totally worth the cost.

My brother and I did this excursion on July 26 and we absolutely loved it! We loved the feeling of sailing on a "pirate ship" or large sail boat and got another chance to try Kava before stepping foot on the Tivua Island. The whole 90-minute ride each way was incredible. Personally I'm a huge fan of sailing, but this experience was awesome especially considering how many cool islands you can see. On Tivua Island there is a cool setup of beach amenities, lunch tables, dive shop, massage area, etc. My brother and I decided to stick to the water activities since that is why we did the excursion. We were able to see several Clownfish, Batfish, Triggers, Tangs, Blue Sea Stars, and other small tropical fish. The lunch offered was great too! Really liked the grilled Wahoo fish. Overall I 100% would do this excursion again and will recommend this to all my peers looking to visit Nadi.
