Activity itinerary

Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
It is a sanctuary of the Catholic Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary in her invocation of Guadalupe, located at the foot of the Tepeyac Hill in the Gustavo A. Madero municipality of Mexico City. It is the most visited Marian site in the world, surpassed only by St. Peter's Basilica. Although the figures cited are not uniform,2 annually about twenty million pilgrims visit the sanctuary, of which about nine million do so on the days around December 12, the day on which Saint Mary of Guadalupe is celebrated.
Piramide de la Serpiente Emplumada
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
It is the third largest building in Teotihuacan, an ancient Mesoamerican city whose ruins are located in Mexico. The building consists of seven sections of sloped-tablero and part of its western façade was decorated at the beginning of the 3rd century with sculptures representing the Feathered Serpent, one of the oldest and most important deities of the Mesoamerican peoples, later called Quetzalcoatl.
Pyramid of the Sun
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
The Pyramid of the Sun was used primarily for ceremonial and religious purposes. It is believed that it was used to carry out rituals related to the sun, rain, and fertility, as these elements were fundamental to the worldview of the Teotihuacan culture. In addition, its location in the centre of the city and its imposing presence made it a focal point for the community, where important ceremonies and events were celebrated. It is one of the most emblematic structures of the pre-Columbian civilisation in Mesoamerica. This pyramid is the largest in Teotihuacan and one of the largest in Mesoamerica, reflecting the importance of this civilisation at its time.
Pirámide de La Luna
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
The Pyramid of the Moon marks the northern limit of the Causeway of the Dead, which gives it a high symbolic meaning, and is the most notable element of one of the most harmonious urban spaces in the city, the so-called Plaza de la Luna. This large space, which is surrounded by 13 foundations with typical Teotihuacan architectural features and which were once completely painted, was an unbeatable setting for public rituals. At the foot of the pyramid is Structure A, framed by two foundations, inside which there are nine altars arranged on the walls plus one in the centre, which symbolise the cardinal and intercardinal points and the centre of the universe.
Taller de obsidiana
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket included
A space where we talk about topics related to obsidian work and the greatness, offer and diversification of the Teotihuacan Valley. Pieces handmade in the Teotihuacan Valley, created by artisans and designed with great professionalism and care. At this point you will be able to have a broad explanation of one of the most representative and original plants of Mexico that benefit humans, "the maguey", which has been one of the most used plants since ancient Mesoamericans. Some intoxicating drinks such as pulque or aguamiel are obtained from it. It should be noted that the use of this plant dates back to pre-Hispanic times. Since that time, it was famous not only for the drinks produced from it but also for its multiple medicinal properties.
