Overview

・The only ingredient in the scent of the incense is matcha. This is the only one in the world. It is heated and fragrant, so it reproduces the pleasant aroma of tea without smoke. It has an excellent relaxing effect.

・The matcha used is fresh, collected from the gaps in the machines that would otherwise be discarded, and used as an ingredient in the incense. You are participating in an eco-friendly activity while having fun.

・We use wooden moulds for making traditional Japanese sweets, custom-made for incense. They look like sweets that you can eat. This is the only place in the world where you can make incense using wooden moulds for sweets.

・The scent is the soothing scent of tea, like passing by a tea shop! A special incense burner (5,940 yen) is included so that you can take it home and enjoy it immediately at home. It is also perfect as a souvenir.

・The venue is “Eshin-in Temple” in the tourist centre of Uji, Kyoto. In the garden, you can enjoy seasonal flowers carefully tended by the head priest. It is located in a place with a great view, overlooking Byodo-in Temple on the opposite bank of the Uji River.

・You can make 5 to 6 incense sticks. You can choose your favourite mould from a wide variety of wooden moulds. There are many cute shapes and designs depicting the four seasons of Japan, so it's exciting to choose a mould.

・The clay-like incense ingredients are soft and have a clay therapy effect that calms the mind. It is also recommended for children who like playing with clay.
