Firstly, take a antisickness pill if you’re prone to sea sickness as the water is quite choppy. But despite this, and the smell of the sea lions, the experience is absolutely worth it! Our tour guide Rodrigo spoke brilliant English and was funny and engaging and full of knowledge about the wildlife. Got to swim with sea lions and watch penguins and various types of birds. If you’re in Lima and fancy something a bit different, definitely give it a go!

I had a great experience, everyone visiting Lima should do this one. They explained everything very well and the guide Johann was funny and explained everything well. The boat ride was smooth, you see lots of birds and penguins. Then you go to the island to swim with the sea lions. As other have said the water is freezing, but somehow you get use to it. The sea lions swim all around you, popping their heads out to look at you. We stayed in the water for 20 minutes, which in the cold ocean is enough. Then you sail back and get chips and juice. It was definitely an experience!

Well equipped roomy boat, skilled crew, & good wet suits all added to a special visit to the sea lions. Be ready for cold water!

It was a fun experience, and something that we will always remember, as this is the only time that we have had the option to swim with sea lions. As soon as they see the boat, they start to make their way in the water. Points to note are that you are in a speed boat, with no shade. You will get wet from spray, especially if you are near the front, so make sure you have your dry stuff in a plastic bag. If you suffer from motion sickness, or have back or neck issues, then the boat ride may be too bumpy for you.

Swimming with sea lions was exhilarating! Rodrigo & staff were great guides and very personable and knowledgeable. The personal go-pro photos and video taken as a souvenir were a nice addition to such an Amazing tour! I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a unique Lima experience. I rarely ever participate in human/wild animal activities with concern over the exploitation of the animals. In no way did I feel like that was the case on this adventure. There was great care taken for the safety of the sea lions and the respect of their territory and also great precautions were taken for us as active participants and our safety. I would do this all over again in the future! Thank you for a great memory in Peru!

Really unique experience getting to swim with the sea lions. They are so friendly, curious, and cute! They come right up to you! Enjoyed it very much, but the excursion felt too short. It was only about 15 or 20 minutes in the water, but a longer boat ride viewing the landscape, penguins, and other birds. Was exciting to see the penguins as well!

This tour proved to be the most unique and fun tour! We actually swam in the ocean with wild sea lions. The staff added to the fun of the experience and never did we feel unsafe. For a once in a lifetime, over the top wildlife experience, I highly recommend swimming with the sea lions. You’ll love sharing your experience with your friends!

We had a great time. We went with all 3 of our kids ages 3-7. They all tried to get in the water with the sea lions, but the 2 you gest got too cold. Amazing trip for the whole family. We all enjoyed it. Tip: bring a hat and wear sunscreen
