I have to say the driver was a lot more nicer and knowledgeable than our Guise (Ross). Did not start talking we were just about there. Came back to the bus after and had a great conversation with the bus driver, Ross nowhere to be found. Did not tell us that much history or about anything about what other things to be done or ask if we had any questions. The Castle itself was great. Wish I would have got more out of the experience

It was advertised online as a guided tour. Our guide was pleasant. However, she guided us to the castle entrance and then we were left to self guide. Basically, this tour only amounted to transportation. We also added on a tour to the Tower of London. After a travel time of one hour, we arrived around 3:30 and 30 minutes away from our hotel. As advertised, it was to be a 6 hour combined tour. We left our meeting spot(difficult to locate)before 10:00AM. I assumed that we would be finished by 4-4:30 PM. This would allow us to make our 5:45-6:00 dinner reception. Since we arrived at 3:30, at best we would only have one hour to tour. We left being highly frustrated and disappointed. Not happy with Viator and probably will not book with them ever again.

Great tour of the castle and grounds. the guide was very helpful getting us to the entrance and picking us up after the tour. I did the Tower of London option as well, which was very interesting. My only issue was with the tour description on Viator. The details said that the trip was two hours, but that was the time just up to the end of the first on-site tour. You still had to drive back, plus another hour with the Tower of London option, it took 8 hours with all of the driving included.

The travel accommodations were nice going to and from Windsor Castle. I thought we’d have more time than we did. It felt a little rushed and it was a Saturday, so the castle and chapel were crowded. In addition, our tour guide wasn’t really paying attention to the people walking behind her in our group, and she walked fast. That wasn’t good for the older people in our group. I felt bad for them. Otherwise, I enjoyed the castle.

I was really looking forward to this tour, but it turned out to be disappointing. The advertised duration was 3 hours, but in reality, we had barely 2.5 hours at Windsor Castle. The bus arrived at the parking lot at 10:45 AM, and our tour guide instructed us to be back at the bus by 1:20 PM. Since it takes around 15 minutes just to walk to the check-in point, that left us with very little time to properly explore the castle. Everything felt extremely rushed. There was hardly any time to walk through all the interesting parts of the castle, let alone take a break, grab a bite, or even pause to appreciate the history and architecture. The tour guide didn’t seem particularly engaged or interested in ensuring we had a good experience. Instead of providing meaningful insights, she just gave a very general commentary about London and Windsor. Another misleading aspect: the advertisement showed a beautiful view of Windsor Castle from a distance. However, to actually get that view, you’d need to walk at least 30 minutes down Long Walk Rd—something that’s impossible given the tight schedule. Overall, this tour felt like a waste of money. For the price, I expected a well-organized and thoughtful experience, but it was anything but. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone who actually wants to enjoy Windsor Castle at a reasonable pace.
