Around 4 pm, you will be picked up at your hotel and get ready to join your Yangon by Night tour. You will be transferred to the jetty where you will board a boat for a 1.5 hour evening cruise on the Yangon River. Of course, you will have a chance to admire the awesome scenes of river life- with local ferries, fishermen and seagulls passing by- when the sun is about to set. You will also be served a choice of water or soft drinks and snacks, local beer and liquor are also available on client’s own account.
After that, on returning to dry land, you can take a local trishaw through the streets towards the illuminated Sule Paya. In the evening, this way of travelling is fabulous as you will pass the illuminated colonial buildings of city centre and colourful street stalls.
Then, you will arrive to Chinatown, whose area is really lively in the evening. Here, you will have a chance to take a short walking tour along 19th Street, which is well known for its lively barbeque restaurants. In the evening, you can also find dozens of vendors set up satay stalls together with many snack stalls, which make it a popular place for locals to gather, chat with friends while having a drink. You can also have dinner featuring mouthwatering grilled seafood, meat and vegetable dishes with traditional dipping sauces and some delicious side dishes.
Finally, you will go to a live music venue for a post-dinner drink. Depending on the night of the week or your interests, My Garden which is popular with groups of young Burmese with draft beers and live music, is highly recommended. If you are seeking something a bit more western or it is a Wednesday or Friday night, check out 50th Street, which is the expat hangout with a band on these nights.
After your night out on the town, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
