We went to the designated spot to meet the tour guide. We waited over an hour and finally called the local guide . He said the tour had been cancelled for that day and rescheduled for the next day and that we should have received an "amendment" telling us that. We never did receive the "amendment" and would not have been available the next day anyway. The local guide got dressed and came to pick us up. Another couple was with us. We followed him in his car and had the other couple with us. We drove to an area not in the national park where we were charged $18 to park our car! We set off on the hike which was very challenging for us. It was steep, rocky, very muddy and full of roots. Juan, our guide, was very helpful to me. He steadied me very carefully through the roots and mud. My husband fell three times and Juan's wife fell once. The falls could have resulted in serious injuries. We have been hiking for many years including ten of Colorado's 14ers and the face of Mt Rainer just this last fall. This hike was not a hike. It should be classified as a challenging excursion. It is not family friendly as I can't imagine parents with young children being able to navigate the steepness, rocks, and roots even without mud. For the other tour scheduled through Viator, the bioluminescent tour, we were supposed to meet for pickup at 3:30. About noon, we received an email stating that the time had been changed to 5:30. We were in front of the hotel at 5:30-your van finally picked us up just before 6:30. My suggestion for that would be that the participants wear head lamps as the channel you have to paddle in was pitch black (no moon) and we lost the boat in front of us several times and crashed into the mangos. There also was a party boat in the channel at the time that almost ran us over. However, the guides were helpful and friendly, and the bay experience was very powerful. Your company seems to be run by a bunch of incompetent, inexperienced people I would not recommend your company to anyone.

Our Teenagers ( 4) and us adults had a blast on this experience..Juan and Christian Michael were awesome guide with lots of Flora and Fauna knowledge...and were patient and careful during the hike...Safety was their first concern...the kids rope jumped and free jumped in to the water pools over and over and had a blast..we heard the frogs, lizards, and the native birds...def worth doing , esp with these guides... we were a group of 8, so it was private and very nice small group.

We had a fabulous day! Juan was a great guide and very patient. So fun to go down the slide, jump off a cliff and learn about the rainforest.

The guide was very knowledgeable and showed us things about the rainforest that we did not know. It was great to learn some new things! We took our time and relaxed to the beauty of the rainforest. Thank you Juan for your time

Juan is a skilled, prepared, very attentive professional guide who provides more than transit accompaniment up and down a muddy, rocky slippery path to a dunking water hole and water slide. His parties are 6 or fewer, not 15-30 and he provides details of the flora, fauna and cultural history related to the Yunque Rainforest. The participant safety he talks about is not just words because the hike ranges from rocky/uneven to slippery, muddy, washed out tangled tree roots surfaces. Expect to do a complete mud wash after the hike. Moderate to high effort for under 12/over 45 year olds.

Jan was an awesome tour guide. We had him all to ourselves. He was always willing to help get through the tough parts of the trail. Would highly recommend this tour as it was just us and not a huge group like some of the others.

I loved everything about the tour. It was challenging, exciting and I did things I never thought I could do. I loved going down the natural slide, jumping off the cliff and swinging off the rope swing! Jan was my personal guide. He was patient, helpful and very informative about the rainforest and the culture. We had a great time! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone and will return when I visit PR again!

This is a must do. Beautiful scenery and our guide was amazing. Juan took the time to explain a few things from the forest and was very accommodating.

Our private tour with Juan was great. We walked to the river, swam and learned about the elements of the rain forest. Would definitely recommend... we were a group of 4. Much more personal than other groups that had up to 20 people.
