A quaint boutique hotel with amazing views
We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were so friendly and the spa facilities were great. We had a good size room and the bed and pillows really comfortable Food in the restaurant was delicious. The views from the bar area are spectacular The only downside to the hotel is that it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility/walking problems as itā€™s a very steep approach to the hotel and lots of stairs to get to the restaurant

Great hotel to relax in the countryside
This hotel has the best views of the ocean and surrounding Cretan countryside featuring small villages dotting the hilly terrain. It is a great relaxing getaway for those needing quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city and are desiring an authentic rustic experience in this part of Greece.

Very good - in hills - village location friendly and well equipped - small pool , local town with restaurants about 15 minutes drive , so can be restrictive if you want a few glasses of wine.

Somewhere a bit different
Cressa Ghitonia is a very different hotel from the norm. 15 derelict houses were converted into this hotel. It is situated in a small village in the mountains with views over the village to the sea beyond. There is a small pool, most rooms have their own terrace and there is a spa. The staff are cheerful and friendly. The food is excellent and inexpensive. The hotel is up a steep and narrow road, because of the village location a car is highly recommended. To drive in this part of Crete you need to like hairpin bends and big drops! We thought the whole holiday was idyllic.

Logement agrĆ©able mais trĆØs mal insonorisĆ© : nous avons partagĆ© le bruit de la douche et des toilettes des voisins du dessus. Personnel agrĆ©able et compatissant : une dame nous a prĆ©parĆ© une salade Ć  prĆØs de 22h. Mauvaise surprise au dĆ©part : on nous redemande le prix de la nuit et du petit-dĆ©jeuner ! AprĆØs un dialogue de sourds, nous appelons hotels.com qui est enfin joignable et finit par convaincre la propriĆ©taire de notre bonne foi ! Bref la matinĆ©e et ses visites sont fichues ...

AccĆØs trĆØs difficile Ć  l'hĆ“tel (trĆØs en pente, il vaut mieux ĆŖtre en forme !, parking Ć  100 M) idem pour les chambres ! il faut monter beaucoup d'escaliers, Par contre trĆØs bon confort, belle salle d'eau, bien Ć©quipĆ©e. Le restaurant est excellent, presque gastronomique, En fait l'hĆ“tel est en espaliers. La piscine est petite mais ambiance feutrĆ©e, cosy comme la terrasse oĆ¹ il fait bon prendre un verre en admirant un superbe coucher de soleil sur la montagne. TrĆØs bon accueil. Endroit exceptionnel pour visiter l'Est de la CrĆØte ! Calme, beautĆ© du lieu et belle situation pour rejoindre : Moklos (charmant village typique) Ć  10 mn, Sitia (y acheter ses souvenirs dans la boutique recommandĆ©e sur le port avec super rapport qualitĆ© prix , Plage de Vai (dans une palmeraie- 1 heure), Ierapetra (30mn) , Myrthos(15mn de plus). Le village rĆ©novĆ© en pierres propose des chambres toutes diffĆ©rentes avec une dĆ©coration soignĆ©e et beaucoup de cachet. On s'y sent bien tout de suite ! (peignoirs-pantoufles- literie incroyablement confortable...) La vue est magnifique et, selon la chambre, on peut admirer le coucher de soleil de sa terrasse mais aussi de celle du bar ou de la terrasse du restaurant. Le petit dĆ©jeuner est inclus (chaud - Ć  l'assiette et froid en buffet) et les menus du restaurant sont raffinĆ©s.Le service est trĆØs soignĆ© et le serveur qui parle franƧais est d'une grande gentillesse et d'un grand professionnalisme. L'accĆØs Ć  cet endroit est certes un peu plus complexe mais c'est aussi le charme du lieu et c'est loin d'ĆŖtre trĆØs compliquĆ©. Un feu rĆ©gule la circulation Ć  l'endroit le plus Ć©troit. Le mieux est de se garer tout au bout du chemin et si l'on ne veut pas porter les valises sur le terrain caillouteux, il suffit de les dĆ©poser en bas de la derniĆØre ruelle sur la gauche et de laisser le conducteur garer la voiture. Petite piscine, wifi excellente et soins possibles de qualitĆ© (personne charmante qui parle franƧais - prix trĆØs correct).

Les hĆ©bergements proposĆ©s sont trĆØs atypiques et situĆ©s dans un petit village Ć  flan de coteaux, Ć  5 km environ du bord de mer. On circule dans cet ensemble immobilier dans un dĆ©dale d'escaliers et de terrasses blanchis Ć  la chaux, Ć  l'image du village lui-mĆŖme.
