The waterpark and beach were good but entailed going down four flights of stairs or crossing a road - so tricky with small children. The staff were clearly overwhelmed by the number of guests and service was poor in general. We were there in August. There was often a shortage of utensils in the buffet or else plates were dripping wet. Pretty gross… Reception was unhelpful. We won’t be going back

Fantastic facilities - the pools, beach and aqua park were excellent. Because of so many options even though the hotel was fully booked it never felt too busy. The beach is excellent, soft sand for kids and very calm waters. Food was largely Greek/european so not much variety however good quality. Hotel room was nicely fitted out and very comfortable for a family of four. Best part was they had children’s shows every night which were a great way to end the day for small kids. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

A family of four travelled to Crete and paid $1700 per night for an all inclusive package at Wyndham. The quality of food and drinks for such a high price was well below average. The buffet had barely any new food repeating the same dishes for 3 days for lunch and dinner. We also had to buy our drinks to get a better quality. Compared to all inclusive resorts in Turkic or Mexico, the Crete one was over priced and over rated.

While some reviews are negative, that was not our experience at all. We have been to many all inclusive resorts and this may have been our favourite: amazing ocean view, updated rooms, buffet options, water park. We were given an upgrade on our room - from a deluxe suite with pool to a bungalow with pool and ocean view. The pool was so relaxing and beautiful, I would say we spent half of our time there. We did the all inclusive package and were not disappointed- the options at the buffet were plentiful, fresh, and delicious. However, all inclusive in Europe is different than all inclusive in the Caribbean - included drinks end at 11:30 pm, you can only dine at ala carte restaurants if you want to pay or if you stay a minimum 4 nights (one ala carte meal is included), not all the bars include your drinks (we were at the waterpark and got two bottles of water and were asked for our room number to charge them to, which was fine), 3 meals are served per day at designated times, and there is a small snack bar- but nothing crazy. The shuttle from the airport is not included and costs €85 each way by taxi and takes about 60 mins. Everyone was friendly and helpful! We spent an afternoon in town (€8 euro taxi from the hotel) and it was even better - the people, the shopping, cannot say good enough things about the people of Crete/ Agios Nikolaos. Nothing is crazy overpriced and they are happy when you are happy! Would love to return. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Nice place, but no insulation or sound protection between the rooms. We could hear the room next to us perfectly - One morning we were woken up very early by crying children in the room next door. I’m obviously not blaming the poor crying children, but the hotel for not properly sound proofing the place.

It was a wonderful stay. I loved the 2 bay areas one was safe for children and the other deep enough to enjoy a swim. All the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help you a very good professional front of house. The only negative was having to pay €1.50 per coffee capsule for your in room coffee machine after you had used the 2 complementary ones. The buffet was a bit of a scrum. A bit hit or miss with the cava. One day we had cava then nothing for 2 days and you had to be light on your toes to get any. Very popular. Maybe a maitre-d to welcome you show you to a table get you your coffee/tea order and make you feel welcome rather than grab and run.

La struttura nel suo complesso è bella risultato di una recente ristrutturazione. Belle anche le camere così come gli spazi comuni e la spiaggia. All’apparenza sembrava un ottima scelta. Purtroppo il GRANDISSIMO PROBLEMA di questo resort è la mancanza di personale sufficiente a far fronte alla gestione dello stesso. Il che si traduce con: -aree comuni (spiagge, piscine, bar e ristoranti) sporche e lasciate a loro stesse -mancanza di servizio al tavolo sia nei bar che spiaggia e piscina - durante i pasti tavoli sempre sporchi. Per poter pranzare al ristorante buffet più volte abbiamo dovuto cercare qualcuno per pulire il tavolo. -cibo buffet mediocre e ripetitivo -cibo ristoranti a la carta mediocre -baby club sporco e privo di animazione nonostante sia pubblicizzata dal resort stesso. Onestamente non sono solito far recensioni ma una situazione del genere non mi è mai capitata, tanto più stiamo parlando di un 5* oltretutto pubblicizzato da Expedia come struttura VIP.
