We were traveling across country and needed to stop in Albuquerque. The reviews looked good. So booked this hotel. We travel with a puppy. And perhaps this is what the issue was. They have specific rooms for travelers with dogs. Tile floors. First floor. On the end. I get it. No problem. However. The room was very cramped. There was a large gap in the main door. So light shines in. The shower was cramped. There was some sort of dirt on the ceiling. The bed was comfortable. But there was also a light from the smoke detector that was super bright. The young man that checked us in was great. Super friendly and fast. That was about the best part of the stay. Overall. It was $99 for the night. The value for the price was good. Would give it a 6 out of 10.

The Baymont by Wyndham was a pleasant surprise. I was concerned that the location near the freeway would be too noisy. My room was located on the opposite side of the building and thanks to the wall-vent (the fan sound created a white noise) I didn't hear a thing. The breakfast was really good; potatoes, sausage and scrambled eggs (hot breakfast), fruit, yogurt, and Danishes. The stay was nice and helpful. I felt safe and slept well on a comfortable bed. It is an older hotel, that appears to have been remodeled at some point. I would absolutely stay here again.

We stay here about every year. Only complaint is complimentary shuttle to airport does not start until 5 am. Our plane left at 5 am. I asked the girl what I needed to do because I had to get to the airport. She said. “You’re on your own”. I said well I have to do something do you have any numbers I can call. She said there’s a card right there you can call. Was really disappointed with her especially since we like staying there. I’ll really have to think about staying there the next time I’m in ABQ.

The property itself was very clean, updated, and nice. It's gated and has security to check the grounds at night. The area surrounding the hotel was a little sketchy but close to restaurants and stores.

I thought it was odd that there was a sign for water for $1.50 at the front desk but the water from the sink smelled like sulphur. The hotel lobby is pleasant but has a scent like Fabreze. Otherwise, it was a comfortable, convenient place near the airport.
